Absolute Volleyball Club Philosophy

The goal of Absolute Volleyball Club is to provide a high-level competitive volleyball club for athletes in Marin County.  The AVC coaches have a love for the game and enthusiasm for coaching; the development of the player is our number one priority.  We want each player to develop individually, to develop teamwork, and to push herself to compete at the highest level possible.

Individually, we want each player to develop her skills.  To leave each practice a little better than she came in.  We will focus on each players needs, whether it is fixing bad habits, being recruited by colleges, learning a new position or diversifying their game.  We not only want to improve their volleyball, but also their self-confidence, their strength and conditioning (we have our own S&C program), and their work ethic.

Our young female athletes must learn that teamwork is just as important as their own development. In order to succeed as an individual you need your team. In order to succeed as a team you need the individuals. Teamwork and personal progress go hand in hand at AVC! We as a staff believe in improving the volleyball player as a whole, not just on the court but off the court as well.

 As a club, our objective is to have all teams competing at the highest level possible. We believe that competing at a high level is not only the best way to challenge yourself and develop your volleyball, but also the best way to develop many other skills that will be of even more value to our athletes for the rest of their lives.
